What is a Dry Freight Van Semi Trailer?

A Dry Van semi-trailer is a fully enclosed heavy duty truck trailer. It is the most common
type  of truck trailer. Standard varieties include Sheet & Post Construction and Plate Construction.
Typical lengths range from 53' to 28'. Dry vans are also known as box trailers. Vans used for
hauling products that require low temperatures are known as Refrigerated Vans or Reefers.

Liftgate Vans are used in cases where an unloading dock is not available. They have a platform
at the back of the trailer that raises and lowers freight from the ground to the floor height of the trailer.
